Who owns CoUI?
CoUI is the UI component system Cocode builds and uses, so Cocode owns it. We hand over a copy of the source for the version used in your project, and the contract sets out a license to use it with no limits on term, quantity, or territory, along with the right to modify it.
Can our developers modify the CoUI code?
Yes. You receive a copy of the source along with the right to modify it, and if you hand maintenance to another development company, that team can modify it under the same rights. Every screen follows one set of rules, so the next team can understand the structure easily.
Can you build without CoUI?
Yes. But every screen would be drawn from scratch, so it takes longer. In the consultation, we look at your screen list, split it into what CoUI covers and what must be built new, and compare the timelines for you.
Will our service change if CoUI is updated?
Not automatically. The CoUI we hand over is a source copy of the version used, so your company maintains it. When you change one component, the change applies to every screen that uses it.
